Registration for the 2017 MPHC is NOW OPEN. 

Tournament Format

  • Play is 4 on 4 hockey with no goalies. 
  • Rink size is 75 x 150.
  • Each team is guaranteed 3 games.  (1 game Friday night, 2 games Saturday. Sunday will consist of playoffs and championship games for teams that advance.)
  • Playoffs and Championship play will be single elimination format. 

Approx Game Times

  • Friday Night  (6:15p to 10p)
  • Saturday  (9a to 1p)
  • Saturday Night  (5:30p to 9p)
  • Sunday  (9a - 3p)

Masters Division 

The Masters division is the ultimate competitive division of the MPHC, which may have ex-pro, college, high school , and C to A level beer league players.  This division is open to men or co-ed teams 18 and older.

You can have up to 7 players  on a team, but only four players on the ice at a time.  Each team is guaranteed three games and the opportunity to qualify for the playoff round.  This division is a first paid, first registered basis. Once the division sells out, all teams will be put on a wait list.

The cost to register a team in this division is $500.

Open Division

A slight step down from the Masters division, the Open division is for ex high school or college players and A league/beer league players who can still bring it. This division is open to men or co-ed teams 18 and older.

You can have up to 7 players on a team, but only four players on the ice at a time.  Each team is guaranteed three games and the opportunity to qualify for the playoff round. This division is a first paid, first registered basis. Once the division sells out, all teams will be put on a wait list.

The cost to register a team in this division is $500.

Rinkrats Division

Rinkrats are those players who spent most of their childhood at the rink. On the ice with every opportunity, but may not have been their "squirt team standout." This division is open to men or co-ed teams 18 and older.

You can have up to 7 players on a team, but only four players on the ice at a time.  Each team is guaranteed three games and the opportunity to qualify for the playoff round.  This division is a first paid, first registered basis. Once the division sells out, all teams will be put on a wait list.

The cost to register a team in this division is $500.

Olde Tyme Division (Age 40+) 

Remember the days of leather skates and no helmets? If not, then this isn't the division for you. This division is for men and women age 40 and older. You might need to have the Bengay on hand after your games, but you're still out there... and you're young at heart. This division is open to men or co-ed teams, where ALL players on the team MUST be 40 or older.

You can have up to 7 players on a team, but only four players on the ice at a time.  Each team is guaranteed three games and the opportunity to qualify for the championship round.  This division is a first paid, first registered basis. Once the division sells out, all teams will be put on a wait list.

The cost to register a team in this division is $500.

Pond Rockets Division 

The Pond Rocket division is for players who have spent their winters tearing it up on the lake. You owned the neighborhood pond, but only a short stint in organized hockey. This division is open to men or co-ed teams 18 and older.

You can have up to  7 players  on a team, but only four players on the ice at a time. Each team is guaranteed three games and the opportunity to qualify for the playoff round. This division is a first paid, first registered basis. Once the division sells out, all teams will be put on a wait list.

"The beer tent brought us here" Division 

Let's get serious... you know who you are. This division is for players who are competitive in their dreams, but in reality, they're just looking to throw back a few cold ones with their buddies and possibly take home a trophy. This division is open to men or co-ed teams 18 and older.

You can have up to  7 players  on a team, but only four players on the ice at a time. Each team is guaranteed three games and the opportunity to qualify for the playoff round. This division is a first paid, first registered basis. Once the division sells out, all teams will be put on a wait list.

The cost to register a team in this division is $500.

 

Womens Division

The Women's division is the competitive open division which may have ex-pro, college, high school, and C to A level beer league players.You can have up to 8 players on a team, but only 4 players on the ice at a time. Each team is guaranteed three games, and the opportunity to qualify for the playoff round. This division is a first paid, first registered basis. Once the division sells out, all teams still wishing to compete will be put on a wait list.

The cost to register a team in this division is $500.

Womens Open Recreation Division

The Women's Open Rec division is for those "just looking to have fun" and is not considered a competitive division. This division is open to women age 18 or older. You can have up to 8 players on a team, but only 4 players on the ice at a time. Each team is guaranteed three games, and the opportunity to qualify for the playoff round. This division is a first paid, first registered basis. Once the division sells out, all teams still wishing to compete will be put on a wait list. 

The cost to register a team in this division is $500.
